Bootmgr is missing press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart is a

How
to fix bootmgr is missing error
Step 1: restart your computer: First thing to
do is to restart your computer, cause the error might just be a fluke if not
follow the other options on how to fix the problem
Step 2: Perform a start-up repair:
a startup repair fix a lot of boot issues just like this one so performing a startup repair is advised to do so follow this steps
- Insert a bootable
flash drive or a windows installation media/disk (any
windows) and boot into it
- Select your language, keyboard method and time and click Next
- Select Repair your computer > troubleshoot > Advanced option > Startup repair
- wait for startup repair to finish, after that restart your computer to see if the problem is solved
Step 3:
Remove external devices: Like I said earlier that bootmgr is missing can be caused by
your computer trying to boot into external so I advice you remove external
devices like your flash drive, floppy
disk and other after that restart
your computer to see if the problem is solved
Step 4: System Restore: Perform a system
restore to bring your computer back to the state which it’s was before the
error, to do so follow the below steps
- Insert a windows bootable flash drive or DVD
and boot from it
- Select your language, keyboard method and time and click Next
- Select Repair your computer > troubleshoot > Advanced option > System restore
- Select your restore point and wait for it to restore your computer to its previous state
Step 5: Clean installation: Performing a clean
installation is another way to fix this error that is why it is necessary to
backup your computer in case of this kind of situation, You will also need a
installation media either a bootable flash drive or a windows installation DVD
Step 6: Repair Master Boot Record: The error can be caused by a damaged master
boot record so fixing it can solve the error, to do so follow these steps
- Insert a windows installation media (flash
drive/dvd) and boot from it
- Select your language, keyboard method and time and click Next
- Select Repair your computer > troubleshoot > Advanced option > Command prompt and type in the following command make sure your hit enter after each command
- bootrec.exe/ fixboot
- bootrec.exe/ fixmbr
- bootrec.exe/ rebuildbcd
- for windows 8 users you will need to type bootrec.exe/ sacnos before typing the bootrec.exe/ rebuildbcd command
- After typing the following command you will see a successful message for each of the command
- Finally restart your computer to see if the problem is fix
